Markenfield Hall is a mediaeval moated manor house just off the A61, 3 miles south of Ripon. There is mention of a manor house here in the Domesday Book. It has a fascinating history and has been continuously occupied since it was built in the 14th Century. Parts date back to the early 1300s. The house has an interesting history. The Markenfields were involved in the Rising of the North in 1569. The Curteis family currently live here and this is very much a family home. This is an opportunity to be shown round this gem of a house.
