Thoresby Society’s Treasures: A Day School.

Time: 10.15 for 10.45. tea and coffee
Place: Leeds Library, Commercial Street.

The Day School will comprise a series of lectures relating to the Thoresby’s Collections and give members a unique opportunity to see first hand Ralph Thoresbys' own copy of the Ducatus, early photographs of Leeds, fabulous watercolours of some of the city’s suburbs and a selection of lantern slides, maps, sale plans and letters from our archives. A full programme will be available nearer the time. Items will be on display for you to examine closely and ask questions. There will be a break for lunch. You might like to bring your own or slip out for something in town. (This is likely to be popular and there will be number restrictions.)
