THE BOROUGH OF LEEDS 1207-2007:
800 years of Development and Change
|
This Exhibition has been organized by the Thoresby Society
as part of Celebrate Leeds. It tells, in maps and pictures,
the story of the development of Leeds from a medieval borough
to a great 19th and 21st century city. The exhibition takes
key dates in that development and shows what the borough
looked like at those dates and explains the changes that
have taken place, particularly in Briggate and the central
area where the original medieval borough was created in
1207.
